The Arts College is based in Lancing, West Sussex, offering art lessons for ages 7 to adult in East and West Sussex.

We offer weekly drawing and painting classes, one to one sessions, SEN sessions, holiday workshops, creative retreats, online courses, and specialised Art Psychology sessions.

Yes. The Arts College is internationally recognised through Trinity College and offers the Discover and Explorer awards, recognised qualifications for eligible students.

Art Psychology teaching combines structured drawing and painting techniques with guided creative processes that help individuals explore emotions in a natural way, without feeling like they are in a traditional therapy setting.

No prior experience is required. Our lessons are designed for beginners through to advanced students. We focus on teaching proportion, technique, and the reasoning behind artistic decisions. All adult classes are tailored around the student. 

Yes. We cater for a wide range of online drawing and painting courses, allowing students to learn remotely while receiving structured guidance.

We teach children from the age of 7, teens, and adults. We also offer family and group sessions for shared creative experiences.

Students work with a wide variety of drawing and painting materials. We also explore techniques used by established artists to broaden understanding and creative development.

Guided drawing and painting develop concentration, strategic thinking, patience, communication skills, and confidence. Many students find that these skills transfer into education, business, and personal relationships.

Yes. Beginners are welcome. Our tutor guides students step by step, helping them understand structure, proportion, and technique from the foundation upwards.

Yes. We offer creative holiday workshops designed to provide immersive artistic experiences in an inspiring and supportive setting.

Adult. We provide the art materials for your trial lesson, after this you have an option of paying £5 extra each week to use our art materials or buying your own. 

Children. All art materials are provided for children's lessons. 

Yes, we have places to store your art materials. 

Our classes run on Tuesdays 1:00–2:30pm and Wednesdays 7:30–9:00pm and you can choose whichever day suits you best.

We charge monthly and termly in advance.

For Drop-In and Online lessons you can start whenever suits you. For our Monthly Membership and 12-Week Program we ask that you begin with a trial lesson followed by a trial month, so you can make sure it’s right for you before committing. We don’t follow set levels as all our lessons are tailored to you as an individual, so wherever you are in your creative journey you’ll be working at exactly the right pace. And don’t worry about materials for your trial as these are provided free of charge!

If you are looking to book more than one drop in session just email us with your preferred dates and we will arrange payment and organise everything for you. For a one-off drop in session please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can arrange payment and get everything organised for you.

We don’t follow set levels as all our lessons are tailored to you as an individual, so wherever you are in your creative journey you’ll be working at exactly the right pace.
